How to delete your Drink Radar account, and which data is erased versus retained.
You can delete your Drink Radar account at any time. Deletion is immediate, irreversible and free. You don't need to contact us or wait for a confirmation.
How to delete your account
You delete your account directly in the app:
Log in to the Drink Radar app (on iOS, Android or via drinkradar.net).
Open the Profile tab in the bottom menu.
Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Tap "Delete account".
Confirm your decision in the dialog shown.
Once confirmed, your account and its associated data are deleted immediately.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently erases the following data:
Your profile (name, age, date of birth, bio, interests, gender, nickname).
Your photos: profile, gallery and the verification selfie (removed from our file storage).
All messages you sent and received, and the entire chat threads (including pending chat requests).
Your friends and friend requests.
Your radar points history and ranks.
Your event declarations ("Interested" / "I'm going").
Your club check-ins and event attendance confirmations.
Your blocks (in both directions).
A club you run, together with its events, photos and stats, and the club's verified phone number (where applicable).
Your settings (GPS fuzzing, notifications, etc.).
Your authentication account (the e-mail address and phone number assigned to the account).
Push notification tokens of your devices.
Your location and recent activity history.
What is retained
For community safety reasons we retain the following data, even after account deletion:
Chat message content — for up to 30 days after account deletion. Messages disappear from chats immediately when the account is deleted, but their content may be kept for up to 30 more days in secured storage, solely in case a violation or crime (e.g. harassment, threats, fraud) is reported — as evidence for moderation or the competent authorities. After this period the messages are permanently and irreversibly erased. We do not read messages for any other purpose.
Reports about your behaviour filed by other users — they are necessary for moderation and for preventing previously reported rule-breakers from creating new accounts.
Anonymous, aggregated app usage statistics (not linked to your identity).
Data required to be retained by applicable law (e.g. for accounting purposes, where relevant) or necessary to defend against claims — in line with the Privacy Policy.
Timeframes
Data directly linked to your account is deleted immediately after confirmation — your account disappears from maps, user lists and other people's chats the moment you tap confirm. Full removal of data from infrastructure backups (Supabase, Cloudflare) takes up to 30 days, following our provider's backup rotation cycle.
